Bryan from Rubin and Rubin from the beginning of our house fire has not only been extremely helpful and on point with every detail in guiding me through the next steps of the process but also kind and sensitive to our families loss. I must tell you that on Dec 24th I came home to a nightmare at my home. My oil burner backfired and covered my home in soot and smoke. What a Christmas surprise. I've known Brian but not what he did at Rubin&Rosen. Well what he does is magic. He orchestrated a complete recovery effort. First the air scrubber company to clear the air then the cleaners to remove soot on everything and lastly the damage estimators who went over every issue. Brian did all this with ease that brought a calm to our family after this nightmare. This Company is outstanding and their personal touch gets it done.... I would highly recommend Rubin&Rosen .

I can’t say enough about Rubin and Rosen. I had a puffback a few months ago and had no idea where to begin with making a claim. After speaking with Bryan he assured me that he and his company would take care of everything and they did not disappoint. From the many phone calls and appointments with different cleaning companies, to the back and forth with my insurance company, Bryan handled it all. He checked in regularly and kept me updated throughout the entire process. He was very knowledgeable in every aspect of the claim, whether it had to do with the health/safety issues that arose or the finances. He answered my (many) questions, and fought hard to get me everything I was entitled to when my insurance company was not looking to pay for certain damages.

Brian was our adjuster and he was great always there when you needed help with anything. Would Liston to you when you needed help with things that you did not know what you were doing. Even when he needed papers filled out and I could not do it he was so patient with helping me step by step always keeping us up to date with what was happening. Everyone that he sent our way has been very good. And sympathetic to our situation and patient with our concerns regarding what was happening and how all this works. I 120 percent recommend Brian butler and his company. After this experience I tell people that they have to get an adjuster and that I have a great one if you need one. I would highly recommend Rubin & Rosen adjusters. Brian came to my house while the flood was happening. He was helpful, knowledgeable, and understanding of the stress that comes when the unfortunate circumstance arrises when water damage is happening. Brian was on our side the whole time, especially when it came down to pricing ,and what we were entitled to with our insurance. Without Brian we would have not known what do with the first quote we got from our insurance company. He had his team of consultants working with him 100% of the time. We are very grateful that Rubin & Rosen was recommend to us from friend who had a great outcome with them as well. I give this company more than a 5 star review. The morning after our garage fire we had the good fortune to meet Bryan who thoroughly explained the entire process that laid before us. It was hard enough coping with the aftermath of the fire without adding the concern of dealing with the insurance company. So soon after Bryan left, we made the sound decision to hire Rubin & Rosen Adjusters who directed and oversaw our path back to normalcy.All of the companies associated with Rubin & Rosen who were brought on board for cleaning and restoration, appraisals of the fire damage to the interior and exterior of our house and its contents, the dry cleaning of clothes and duct cleaning were extremely professional, kind and compassionate.It was a long and sometimes circuitous path, but Bryan was there every step of the way to help guide us through it. Thank God we had James from Rubin and Rosen adjusters’ contact information. We had a fire at our rental property in Brooklyn that we are were planning to sell. We were notified by the tenants that there was a fire and we called James from Rubin and Rosen adjusters. As soon as the fire department was done, they had a company in their closing up broken windows and securing the property. They took a nightmare of a problem and turned it into a manageable situation. They handled all the complicated insurance processing, brought in the contractors to stabilize the building and we were able to sell. We felt we got a very good claim amount. We are a complicated client because we are several different family members with different personalities. James handled us and our concerns with the utmost professionalism. It’s the only way to go. So glad we made the call.

I highly recommend James Guercio at Rubin and Rosen, I can't recommend him enough. My insurance company was giving me a hard time about a claim and I was way out of my depth, so I called James. He clearly knows the business inside and out, and explained everything very clearly and thoroughly to me. He responds quickly, he checked all the documents, and he gave me great advice. My insurance ended up approving my claim because of James. I am truly so grateful and will always call him before anyone else the next time I have an insurance issue.

Absolutely recommend Rubin and Rosen. I’m convinced they got me thousands more than what my insurance company would’ve given me if they weren’t advocating on my behalf. Rarely do I ever write a 100% positive review like this. But James Guercio was an outstanding expert in all matters related to this very complex process. I'm so thankful I had Rubin & Rosen to lean on and act on my behalf. Like most homeowners I paid my annual insurance premium and never really thought I'd have to use it. In 2019 when my fire occurred I didn't know how much I'd need an advocate such as them on my side. They worked tirelessly to ensure everything was handled fairly and to my satisfaction. David had our back every step of the way after a fire inour home.Having a fire in a home is of course an awful and scary experience. One loses their sense of security and foundation along with their personal property and place of residence. Thankfully, we did not sustain any injuries. However, I never would have expected the chaos that ensued after the fire. Dealing with insurance companies and trying to sort through next steps is its own special kind of nightmare. And trying to deal with that - making lists of property, endless phone calls, submitting receipts, trying to be reimbursed while finding a place to live - felt insurmountable.The single best thing that my family did in the aftermath of the fire was to turn to Rubin and Rosen. After making that initial decision to hire a public adjuster a huge weight was lifted. David was extremely knowledgeable, available, kind, and calm. We also worked with Gigi who is on top of her inventory game and many of the experienced and professional staff in the Rubin and Rosen office.The Rubin and Rosen team took over and delivered! They were able to maximize on our insurance benefit (which insurance companies, I've learned make very difficult to do) and provided us with guidance, reassurance, and peace of mind. When my husband and I were awakened in the early morning of April 2020, Easter Sunday, by flames in the back of our house resulting from a fire, you can imagine how the following hours were filled with pain, confusion and a profound sense of loss.Never having expierenced such a devestating event we realized that guidance was needed to take the steps toward processing our claim. Our children suggested we hire a public adjuster, and even though we were skeptical at first decided to go that route.After meeting David Paggiolio, of Rubin and Rubin, we realized that this was a right step for us to take. A calm, polite, respectful demeanor was exactly what we needed, and what David conveyed to us in our first meeting.Since the inception of the process, we were satisfied with the handling of our claim. David and his team ensured that a thorough inventory was done. He mediated with the insurance company greatly on our behalf, resulting in a satisfactory outcome. He also recommended an excellent contractor.Please know that we highly recommend David Paggolio, of Rubin and Rubin to anyone who needs guidance and help in an emphatic and professional manner on a project of this scope. My husband and I feel so fortunate to have worked with David Poggioli at Rubin and Rosen. I will try to keep the review concise - but this experience has taught me the value of reaching out and trusting a public adjuster when dealing with a substantial insurance claim.Our 2 family in Park Slope suffered substantial water damage after freezing temperatures caused an uninsulated water pipe along an external wall to freeze and burst. We documented the damage with videos and photos and various receipts. Our insurance company first tried to dissuade me from filing the claim. They later did make an offer after inspections etc. However, after consulting with David we trusted him to manage the communications and negotiations. I sent him all my photos and receipts and was able to limit the time, worry, stress and interaction with our insurance company. And we ended up with approximately triple the amount that they initially offered us.The fee that we paid Rubin & Rosen was money well spent. Also, the renovation work took much longer than expected. We had a delay of 7 months waiting for DOB approval for the work in our home. The water damage led us to discover the home's wooden beam foundation needed to be removed and replaced with poured concrete foundation, etc. The insurance claim is usually paid out and liquidated within a 12 month period but with the DOB permit delay, the delay in construction because of stop work orders during Covid 19 in NY in 2020, and issues during construction, it took us over 12 months.David helped us throughout! He made sure we were able to claim the full amount. Also, his calm and rational approach to the property damage and managing the insurance claim turned a nightmare into something manageable. I had also received help and support from his colleague Beth -- I highly recommend their firm and these specific professionals!

We had an amazing experience with Rubin and Rosen Adjusters. Our toilet flooded and ruined our floors and walls on the first floor of our home. We worked with a representative from Travelers insurance and were disappointed with the interaction and claim payment offered. We then connected with James Guercio from Rubin and Rosen and he was awesome. James was professional, rapid in his responses and expert in negotiating our situation. In the end, with his industry knowledge, he secured us over TWICE the amount of claim payment for the repairs. We would not have been able to restore the home without the additional claim payment that he recovered. And his fee was nominal, completely worth it and covered by the insurance payout. I give Rubin and Rosen my highest recommendation.

I would highly recommend David for anyone who needs help with an adjuster. I used him for water damage to my apartment and he was beyond exceptional. David came to the apartment , worked with my insurance company and even after all was said and done with them - he is STILL helping me with getting companies to remedy my damage. I highly recommend Rubin & Rosen Adjusters. If you are placing an insurance claim, something unexpected has happened and could perhaps be in distress. I don't think I could have handled that smoothly the actual complicated process of placing an insurance claim without them, but also, I now realize that James Guercio's professional service gave me a little peace of mind during a difficult time. I could not say enough wonderful things about this company. They handled our very difficult and complicated insurance claim with the utmost professionalism and expertise. This is the company I never knew that I definitely needed, and the outcome of this difficult situation was made a thousand times easier thanks to James, Dave, and the entire team at Rubin and Rosen. If you EVER need to file an insurance claim, DO NOT do it without these adjusters. They made the world of difference for our family and we could not be happier with the outcome. We're finally on the road to the rebuild of our home.Edit- I thought I had posted this review MONTHS ago, and I never hit post!! I just came back to this review to post an update because I am just continuously blown away by James Guercio and his team and Rubin and Rosen. We have been back in our home now for over a month, and there are just SO. MANY. THINGS. that need to be done after the fact. After you think that the claim is settled and over, things just keep coming up that need to be submitted to the insurance company and handled professionally. I'm a pretty detailed and organized person and I would be SO lost without James. His official "job" for our claim was literally over months ago, yet, he has stuck by my every email and text to ensure that everything is finalized properly and that we get the outcome that we need. (We settled for over $100,000 more than what the insurance company initially offered us.)I do not know how people are able to get through home disasters without public adjusters. I would have happily given them 5 times their fee. It gives me anxiety to this day just thinking about how things would have gone without James.Thank you SO much, you guys. Around midnight on January 21st 2015, our Victorian caught fire. It was always going to happen, we just did not know that. Could not know that.The fire started behind a fireplace, in a wall. The fireplace looked sound but, because of some ill-advised work done by the former homeowners, it was not.Whether you are reading this because you have suffered a fire or a flood or some other calamity, one thing we share is we both know how disorienting this moment is. And while you do have our very real sympathy, what you actually need is help.Now.I will not sugar coat this and say the path back is easy. It is not. Worse, the insurance company is no longer your friend. The insurance company adjuster is not looking out for you. What you need right now, more than anything, is someone on your side.We chose to retain Rubin and Rosen. And you should too.In this moment, you are wondering “Is it worth committing part of the final settlement to hiring James Guercio and his company?” All I can offer you is our experience.For us, the answer was a resounding yes.I make no exaggeration when I state that I have simply no idea how it was James got the settlement he did.Our structural and personal property settlements were more than 40 and 50% larger than that offered by the insurance company. And that was not the end of the road. During the restoration we found we had to undertake additional work to bring the repairs into line with current NYC Department of Buildings code. Do you know if such code upgrades are covered by your policy? Did you know such a rider even existed? We didn't, but Rubin and Rosen did. That was another $79,000 the insurance company didn't mention.We finally moved back home in November 2017. And the home we moved back into was not only every bit as lovely as it was on January 20th 2015, it was far, far better. And I can honestly say that without James there is no way that would be true.I wish you well as you start the journey back. Just don't try and do it alone. Call James.

Rubin & Rosen Adjusters have been a blessing to my family on more than one occasion. First a fire, second a basement flood. I can't say enough of the honesty and intergity of James Guercio. I have recommended him to so many of my friends . Not only does he fight for the best cash settlement from you insurance company for the repairs of your home. he is very patient and explains every aspect of the process until completion. Rubin & Rosen is a business , but they treat me like family.

James really helped us through some tough times. When our house was flooded we felt overwhelmed by the claim process. James helped explain us through all the details in an easy manner. He was very attentive as well as managed to claim more than we would be able to receive ourselves. We are very happy we chose to work with a public adjuster, and James in particular, rather than dealing directly with the insurance company.

My parents are 84 years of age and had a house fire and were displaced. James Guercio took care of all the details of my parents claim and assisted us through the rebuilding process. My parents are back in their home in less than 6 months after the fire even though there was major damage. James exceeded our expectations and we could not believe how quickly the process moved with his help. I am a practicing attorney in the NYC area and I have met many people in this area and James Guercio is clearly the best at what he does. I would highly recommend him.

James Guercio did an amazing job with our fire insurance claim. It is very difficult to know what to do or who to trust after you experience a loss from fire. James and his team helped us navigate through all the processes from filing the insurance claim to restoring family photos. I would highly recommend working with James as your adjuster when you have an insurance claim. We were very happy with the insurance settlement that he negotiated. We were originally skeptical of paying a fee for the services that we thought we could do ourselves. I would now tell everyone that the small fee is worth the service and I am sure we received much more in than we would have ever been able to negotiate ourselves.

John Marciano and his colleagues at Rubin & Rosen did an excellent job in representing my family against our insurance company. Our home was destroyed in a fire and our insurance company was over burdened with claims and could not give us the time of day and when they did they were always "a day late and a dollar short". John and his colleagues were a necessary help in being there for us through the entire process and making sure that our insurance company did not cheat us out of what our policy covered us for. God forbid if you ever have a fire! Your insurance company will do what ever it takes so they can save as much as possible and you'll be left with a lot less than what you had. Insurance companies do not care about you, all they care about is collecting premiums and when it comes time to pay a claim to a devastated family they cheat you where ever they can. John and his colleagues at Rubin and Rosen care about there clients. When they were done, my claim was 30% higher than what the insurance company originally offered me. When you are rebuilding an entire house that is a lot of money and it makes Rubin and Rosen worth every penny. There is no way I could have leveraged that from my insurance company without the hard work and support of Rubin & Rosen. Thank you John! You were our knight in shining armor and we will never forget the help you gave to our family !

My experience was excellent. I dealt specifically with John Marcino and I could not have been happier. The professional manner in which he assisted with my claim and the timeliness of updates he provided was beyond expectation. It was not only the peice of mind that John provided but he was able to triple the amount of the settlement originally quoted from my insurance company.Even if you feel you have the ability to handle your claim yourself, dont do it! Insurance companies save millions of dollars by shortchanging their customer's by providing biased estimates and taking advantage of the average persons lack of comfort or understanding of the process.Do yourself a big favor and use these guys. You will be happy you did.

I am a resident of Breezy Point and in the aftermath of Superstorm Sandy I was very lucky. The fire that devastated my community ended one door away from my home and the water stayed in my basement. That being said, the siding on my home was melted, the bay window in the front of my home was severely cracked, my roof needed to be replaced and my home was filled with smoke and ash. Upon assessing the damage I got lucky again when I was introduced to James Guercio of Rubin & Rosen Adjusters. James immediately negotiated for triple of what the insurance company offered to sanitize and clean my home. He always made himself available and he negotiated a fair and equitable settlement for the rest of the damage to my home. I was extremely happy with the results as many of my neighbors are still fighting for fair settlements almost two years later. I highly recommend the work of James Guercio and Rubin & Rosen Adjusters.

We had a house fire on 10/26/2013. Everything was chaos and there were many people trying to take advantage of our situation. When our adjuster from Rubin and Rosen sat and spoke with us we knew they were the company to go with. They were honest and right on top of everything. They helped us, and are continuing to help us, get through everything, even things they, as adjusters, didn't need to help us with! James Guercio took over our account when he felt things weren't going as smoothly as they should. He was very caring and got everything done in a prompt manor! After tragically losing my father in a house fire in Nov 2013, I contracted with Rubin & Rosen Adjusters to represent me in the claims adjusting process. They were very sympathetic and took the time to explain the entire process to me. They were there with me every step of the way from start to finish, even helping me choose a great restoration construction firm (Dart Restoration) who did excellent work rebuilding the house. When issues arose with the insurance company regarding the settlement amount of the claim, they provided an attorney that eventually won the full settlement for us. I really appreciate the wonderful job they did, I considered them friends at the end. They gave me positive closure to a difficult time in my life and I would highly recommend them to anyone who would require an adjuster service.

Had a small fire in my home, but the smoke caused alot of damage. Kevin made sure me and family were taken care of right from the beginning. We have two dogs so he helped us find a place that would take them, first in a hotel then in an apartment just a two blocks away from our actual home. Kevin made sure all of our lost items were accounted for, He checked in on us occasionlly to make sure we were okay. We moved back into our house two weeks ago and Kevin came to visit to make sure all we were settled. If something happens again (hope not) I'll be sure to give Rubin & Rosen a call.
